Because of the ongoing activities in the city of Boston, tonight's concert has been cancelled.
Ninety Miles is the distance between Miami and Havana, the closest points in the United States and Cuba. The album, Ninety Miles, was recorded in Havana, Cuba as an artistic effort to bridge that distance and to emphasize the musical, cultural and historical kinships between the two nations. This collaborative project brought together the immense talents of vibraphonist Stefon Harris, Saxophonist David Sanchez and now trumpeter Nicholas Payton, (replacing Christian Scott).
“[Stefon Harris is] one of the most important young artists in jazz.” – Los Angeles Times
“[David] Sanchez plays with unforced authority and a searching, smoldering cadence." – The New York Times
“[Nicholas Payton] is surely one of the leading lights of his instrument.” – Wall Street Journal
