Arts for All, Neighborhood Arts

A Look Back at our Day of the Dead Celebration with Sol y Canto & Veronica Robles

Photos by Robert Torres

Last Saturday, longtime Neighborhood Arts collaborator and Pan-Latin ensemble, Sol y Canto, teamed up with Veronica Robles and her Mariachi ensemble in a double bill celebrating the Day of the Dead holiday. Audiences from around Boston joined us in Villa Victoria’s historic concert hall for an afternoon of driving Latin rhythms, Mexican culture, and reflection on a holiday that not only looks to celebrate those loved ones we have lost, but the joy of life itself. The afternoon ended with adults and children alike dancing in the aisles, followed by a reception with the performers.

Celebrity Series photographer Robert Torres was behind the lens to capture moments from the performance. Scroll below to see some of our favorite shots!
