Itzhak Perlman, 20th Anniversary of In The Fiddler’s House Sunday, March 6, 2016 Symphony Hall, 7pm
Twenty years have passed since Itzhak Perlman
released his stunningly successful and beloved
klezmer recording and PBS special, In the Fiddler’s House. Perlman revisits this important, personal project celebrating the klezmer tradition at Symphony Hall with some of his closest musical friends.
“Perlman is as good as gold… Because he seems to be everywhere, and to infuse everything he touches with the magic of his golden, fluid tone, [he] might easily be taken for granted. Yet beyond the rapturous, seemingly effortless sound, the emotional arc of his playing is shaped to perfection.”
