Ailey Revelations Celebration

Four free public events, March 22 & 23!

Learn iconic movements from Revelations

You'll have an opportunity to learn iconic choreography from an American masterpiece when teaching artists from the Ailey organization share the power and joy of Alvin Ailey's Revelations in four free events across Boston, March 22 & 23.

First performed in 1960, Revelations is a classic of modern dance, a powerful expression of Black American resilience and hope, and a treasure of American culture. Inspired by what Mr. Ailey called "blood memories" of his childhood and the Baptist Church, it's a testament to hope, joy, and the enduring strength of community.

Be a part of the story when you learn gestures, movements, and adapted steps from this inspiring work.

Mr. Ailey famously said, "dance is for everyone," and now it's your chance to join in!

The running time for each event will be about two hours, including a get-together with refreshments to follow.

How to join the fun

Choose your preferred event below and let us know that you're interested by signing up!
