Opened in 2022, Groton Hill Music Center's stunning new home boasts two outstanding performance halls, welcoming social spaces and function rooms, and studio classrooms that nurture young musicians. The building brings the outdoors in with natural wood and stone finishes, dramatic windows overlooking the agricultural surroundings, and convertible spaces that open out to patio dining.
All artists performing at Groton Hill Music Center's Concert Hall and Meadow Hall in the 2024/25 season will perform the same program in Boston/Cambridge and Groton.
The smaller of two acoustically-tuned concert halls in the building, Meadow Hall is a welcoming and comfortable 300-seat space that is at once airy and intimate.
Washed in natural light, the Meadow Hall stage invites guests to feel connected to both the artist and to the bucolic hills surrounding the unique facility. The curved, Southern Yellow Pine walls are acoustically designed to carry rich sound evenly across every listener, and the seating is layered to create a sense of intimacy throughout the hall. Meadow Hall was built to bring concert-goers together and leave them feeling alive with the magic of sound.
The 1000-seat Concert Hall is acoustically superb, with geometry and materials tested and optimized for exceptional acoustic performances. The space can be configured for a range of events, from orchestral and ensemble performances to solo recitals and educational events. The stage and house lighting was recently upgraded to improve its flexibility, allowing a tailored artistic experience. The venue also boasts a virtual Meta Organworks Hauptwerk Organ, capable of replicating any of 15 iconic pipe organs through a superb speaker system.
Groton Hill Music Center is a fully Accessible venue. Accessible seating and elevator service is available on all levels of the main performance spaces.
Assistive Listening Devices: They can be obtained by asking any usher on duty.
