The Castalian Quartet, currently a quartet-in-residence at the University of Oxford, is gaining renown for interpretations “full of poetry, joy and sorrow, realized to such perfection” (The Observer). In their Celebrity Series debut, the Castalian Quartet unveils a diverse repertoire that showcases their versatility and depth. 

Beloved author, Food Network personality, and cultural icon Ina Garten discusses her long-awaited memoir, Be Ready When the Luck Happens (Crown/Penguin Random House, October 2024). For the first time, Ina Garten will present an intimate, entertaining, and inspiring account of her remarkable journey, sharing her personal story with readers hungry for a seat at her table. Erin French, owner and chef of the Lost Kitchen, moderates. 

Flamenco artist Nino de los Reyes returns to Neighborhood Arts with Uno más de la banda, a new program that brings music and dance together in thrilling ways. Nino, the only dancer to win a Grammy Award for his musical contributions to Chick Corea & the Spanish Heart Band’s album Antidote, makes his steps, claps, and vocalizations an essential part of the music. In this show, the bailador in the spotlight becomes another member of the band. 

South African piano titan Abdullah Ibrahim makes his Celebrity Series debut after decades of performance, composition, and activism. Approaching his 90th birthday, Ibrahim continues to build on his legacy, creating new works with his trademark textures, rhythms, and melodies. Don’t miss the Series debut of a performer who transformed the landscape of jazz and uplifted the soul of a nation! 

The magnificent Berliner Philharmoniker returns to Symphony Hall under the baton of Chief Conductor Kirill Petrenko, revealing the intricacies and majesty of Bruckner’s monumental Fifth Symphony.
