(For Immediate Release—November 8, 2021, Boston) Celebrity Series of Boston announces that due to a recent elbow injury, this Sunday’s in-person and streaming recital with Daniil Trifonov has been rescheduled for Friday, February 4, 2022 at 8pm at Symphony Hall.
All tickets for this weekend's concert purchased through Celebrity Series will be transferred to the rescheduled date and reissued. Patrons will also have the option to donate the value of their tickets, put the value of their tickets on their account, exchange into the digital performance, or receive a refund. Ticket holders will be contacted by the box office, or may email boxoffice@celebrityseries.org. Ticket holders who purchased through Symphony Hall directly will also be transferred to the rescheduled date and have the option to receive a refund by contacting the Symphony Hall box office at 617-266-1200.
Mr. Trifonov says, “I was very much looking forward to my upcoming recital at Celebrity Series of Boston this Sunday, November 14. Unfortunately, though, following a recent elbow injury, I have been advised to postpone the performance to avoid exacerbating the problem, and have with great disappointment agreed to focus on my health and recovery over the coming weeks. I am pleased that we have been able to reschedule the recital in Boston for Friday, February 4, 2022 and I look forward to performing for you this winter. Many thanks for your understanding.”
