Bass-baritone Davóne Tines is a graduate of Harvard University and The Juilliard School, a 2018 Lincoln Center Emerging Artists Award honoree and American Modern Opera Company founding member. He has made his mark in opera and concert performances – from works by Handel, Beethoven, and Verdi to world premieres by Saariaho and Adams. Tines has triumphed locally with his 2018 staging of Langston Hughes’ The Black Clown at the American Repertory Theater. Program to include the songs of Johannes Brahms, Julius Eastman, Franz Schubert, and Caroline Shaw.
